Funeral service for Wayne Raspberry, 64, will be Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor John McPeek and Pastor John Elliot officiating. Burial will follow in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, June 20, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Raspberry, who died Friday, June 17, 2011, was born January 25, 1947, in Morgan County to Vestal George Raspberry and Hester Mae Jackson Raspberry. He was a member of Pattillo St. Church of God. He was preceded in death by his father; his grandmother, Josie Jordan; and daughter, Vestalena Leanna Raspberry.

Survivors include his wife of forty years, Betty Ray Raspberry; mother, Hester Nix; two daughters, Louise Raspberry Hunsucker (Don) and Beverly Raspberry Hames (Mark); five grandchildren, Courtney Washburn, Glenn Washburn, Will Wheat, Trevor Wheat and Kurtis Wheat; one great-grandchild, Britlee Washburn; two brothers, Jim Linley and James Sparkman; and two sisters, Shirley Adams and Marcella Mason.

Betty hon so sorry for your loss. Know that he is not in anymore pain. He is up there walking those streets of gold and talking to Jesus. May God give you and your family peace, joy, and comfort in the next days to come and even after that. Keep the memories close in your heart and he will always be there with you Forever. Love ya girl. I'll keep you up in my prayers.
