Memorial service for Margaret Cannon Addyman, 76, of Decatur will be Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church. Visitation will be in the fountain area of the church, located at the Jackson Street entrance to the church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Mrs. Addyman, who died Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital, was born March 6, 1934, in Pelham, S.C., to Claude B. Cannon and Mary Hawkins Cannon. She was a retired registered nurse and former director of nurses at Roger Huntington Nursing Center, part of the Greenville, South Carolina Nursing System. She was a graduate of Spartanburg, South Carolina Nursing School, Class of 1957. She was a member of Morgan County Master Gardeners, Hill & Dale Garden Club, and Central United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Lovett Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Thomas William Cannon.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Stanley S. Addyman; and two sisters, Frances Honeycutt and her husband, Jerry, of Tifton, Ga., and Shirley Madden and her husband, Bill, of Greenville, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church.
