Alton E. Archer Sr. 'Bush Hog'

Funeral for Alton E. Archer Sr. "Bush Hog", 85, of Danville will be Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in Pulaski, Tenn with Parkway Funeral Home directing. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski. Visitation will be Monday, March 24, 2014, at Parkway Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home from 1 to 2 p.m.

Mr. Archer, who died Friday, March 21, 2014, in Morgan County was born August 27, 1928, in Lawrence County to the late James Bell Archer and Edna Mae Owens Archer. Alton was retired and enjoyed hanging out at Five Points Grocery and Giles Tennessee Co-op. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one sister; and spouses, Mary E. Bishop Archer and Glayds L. Way Archer.

Survivors include sons, Neal Archer (Dawn) and Alton "Eugene" Archer Jr. (Fay); daughters, Mary "Libby" Thomason (Jimmy) and Shelia G. Johnson (Kinney); 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother; five sisters; and his extended family at Five Points Grocery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
