Ralph Wayne Campbell
Ralph Wayne Campbell, 81, a Valhermoso Springs native for 43 years, passed away on May 28, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Butler County on August 28, 1932, to William Perry Campbell and Dora Alice Graham Campbell. Mr. Campbell served honorably in the United States Air Force, retiring with 21 years of military service. Notably, he served at the Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine during the Apollo Space Program. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service for Mr. Campbell was Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Summers officiating with burial to follow in the Huntsville Memory Gardens Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Visitation was Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by one son, Dwight W. and Kim Campbell of Fort Worth, TX; three grandchildren; Kenneth W. Campbell of Sartell, MN, Amy M. Peters of Maumelle, AR and Timothy S. Peters of Prestonsburg, KY. He also has four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, countless friends and two dear friends, Jimmy and Dianna Cook of Huntsville.
