Funeral service for Dewitt Widner, 87, of Falkville will be Thursday, August 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Gary Peebles officiating. Burial will be in Etha Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Widner, who died Monday, August 25, 2014, at his residence, was born July 9, 1927, in Cullman County to the late Tom Widner and Lula Briscoe Widner. He was a farmer. His wife, Doshie Widner, preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin Widner of Falkville and Eddy Widner of Addison; three daughters, Loise Lovelady of Falkville, Joyce Screws of Eva and

Sandra Dickerson of Cold Springs; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great- grandsons.
