David Michael Dean of Hephzibah, Ga., died Thursday, October 11, 2012. He was 64 years old.
Mr. Dean is survived by his wife, Jan B. Dean; his son, Chris Dean and his wife, Patricia, of Hartselle; his daughter, Tammie K. Hooks of Hephzibah, Ga.; his sister, Linda Vest and her husband, Danny, of Hartselle; his grandchildren, Audrey Dean, Jessi Scott and Christopher Carl Hooks; his niece, Amy Vest King and her husband, Allen; great- nephew, Wilson Clark King and great-niece, Maggie Beth King, all of Hartselle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byrd and Wetelka Clark Dean.
Mr. Dean was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. Prior to his retirement, he was a pipefitter for the Pipefitters Union, Local 377.
Graveside services will be conducted today, October 12, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Hyder officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Hartselle.
