Funeral service for Tommy Philip Porter, 51, will be today at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Arnold Bracken and the Rev. Mike Boone officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Garden. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Porter, who died Saturday, September 28, 2013, was born October 19, 1961, in Lawrence County. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Joyce Vickery Porter and grandparents, John and Lydia Boyles Porter and Fred and Hazel Spraggins Vickery.

He is survived by his father, Danny Porter (Frances); brother, Johnny Porter (Paula); stepbrother, Jimmy Hopkins (Becky); nephew, Scott Porter (Tammy) all of Mount Hope; niece, Ashley Cottingham (Chris) of Decatur; and a host of cousins.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Porter, Scott Porter, Chris Cottingham, Roger Stephenson, Paul Stephenson, Kenny Stephenson, Heath Hopkins and Buddy Ellis.
