Bishop, Billie S.  
Billie Starling Bishop, 201 McDermott, Deer Park, TX, said goodbye to this world, and went on to a better place with Jesus on 20 March 2015. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Bishop Stovall, and her husband James L. Bishop. Billie was a member of the Deer Park First Baptist Church, and a charter member of the Silver Set Department of that church. During WWII she served in the U.S. Navy WAVES, and was a proud member of the Greatest Generation. Billie was born 13 February 1920 in Livingston, TX, and raised nearby in the small community of New Willard, TX. She was a proud resident of Deer Park, TX for the past 59 years. Billie is survived by her daughter Jo Ann Bishop Shults and husband Jim Shults. A viewing is planned for 3:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday 22 March 2015 at the Grandview Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX located at 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX. Funeral services are planned for Monday, 23 March 2015 at 12:30PM also at Grandview Funeral Home with internment to follow on the grounds there next to her other family members. Bowling, Christopher  
"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." John 11:25-26 Christopher James Bowling was born on December 13, 1979, in Houston, Texas to James and Debbie Bowling. He passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 in Murphy, Texas. Chris graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1998. He loved to swim, bowl, and play soccer and baseball. He was on the high school swim team and FFA. He raised a pig named "Shorty" for his FFA project his senior year. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1998 to the year 2000 when he injured his foot and was given a medical disability. After his service to his country he attended the MTI College of Business and Technology in Clear Lake and received an Associate's Degree in 2002. He was baptized in 2005 after making a public profession of his faith in Jesus Christ at the Memorial Baptist Church. When Chris was an 18 month old toddler he got caught in Grandpa Schwartz's garage dragging his sledge hammer around. His uncles got a kick out of that and gave him the nickname, "Bamm-Bamm", after the cartoon character Bamm-Bamm Rubble, Barney and Betty Rubble's little boy of the Flintstones. He is preceded in death by his two grandfather's: W. C. "Bill" (Papa) Bowling and Robert Schwartz. He is survived by his mother and father, James Patrick Bowling and Debbie Schwartz Bowling; his two big brothers: Carl Bowling, and J.P. Bowling (Terri); his two sisters: Melissa Dollens (Clint Dollens), and Amy James (Eric James); his Grandparents: Andrew and Etta Wisenbaker, Martha Schwartz, and Patsy Bowling Woodbury; and his multitude of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins. All will miss him greatly. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, March 18, 2015 between 5:00 and 8:00. Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the Grand View Funeral Home. The funeral will be followed by a short graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask you make a donation to the Paralyzed Veterans of America at www.pva.org in memory of Christopher.

Bradbery, Billy  
passed away Mar. 4, 2015. He was born Aug. 29, 1950 in Pasadena, TX to Bill and Betty (Prichard) Bradbery. Billy served in the U.S. Air Force and had a love for flying. He retired from a lifelong career of sales. In 2012, he married Diana Lynn Dare, and together, they enjoyed a life of boating and spending time on the water. Billy will be missed by his parents; wife; daughter, Reagan Bradbery; son, Devin Bradbery and wife, Erina; 3 beautiful granddaughters, Talis, Aivlynn and Cynthia ; sister, Brenda Thompson; and niece, Heather Thompson. Defee, Adell  
Adell Long Defee Born Jan. 7,1919, in Bays Chapel, TX, Adell went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus on March 11, 2015 in Pasadena, Texas. Adell, a long time resident of Pasadena, was an active member of Golden Acres, First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her Husband John A Defee, and eldest son,John Richard Defee, parents, George and Alma Long; sisters; Vera Flores, Georgia Sherman, Mattie Ola Parish, twin sister Madell Williams, and brother Gerald Long. Adell is survived by her son Eddy Defee and wife Lori R Winston. Her Grandchildren Daniel Defee and wife,Cheyenne, John William Defee, Dustin Defee, Kristin Defee, Great Grandsons Zander Defee, and soon to be born Maddox. Adell retired from DENKA, Inc. as an Administrative Assistance, and soon after, she and her husband John purchased an R. V., and traveled the Southeastern United States for as long as their health allowed. Following in her twin sister's steps, she discovered a knack, and love for painting, soon filling her house with beautiful landscapes. She always had a twinkle in her eye and a welcoming smile for everyone. Adell was the last of her generation of the Long family. Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2015, 5-8pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10am at Golden Acres Baptist Church located at 2812 Pansy St. Pasadena TX 77503.

Born September 8, 1924 in Oak Grove Arkansas, died March 10, 2015 in Pasadena Texas. Member Golden Acres Baptist Church of Pasadena Texas, prior service as a Deacon, Sunday School Director and Sunday School Teacher. Survived in life by wife of 69 years Virginia Haguewood of Pasadena Texas, son Greg Haguewood and wife Kathy Haguewood of Pasadena Texas, grandson Brandon Haguewood and wife Memorie Haguewood, great granddaughters Presleigh and Paisleigh Haguewood of LaPorte Texas, grandson Blake Haguewood of Deer Perk Texas, and one niece and two nephews. Preceded in life by sister, Inez Lampkin of Arkansas. Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Golden Acres Baptist Church 2812 Pansy St. Pasadena Texas 77503. Hickerson, AJ  
AJ Hickerson 81, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away March 25, 2015. AJ was born in Texarkana, Texas has been a resident of Deer Park for sixty years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Deer Park; a coach for Deer Park Little League; a loving husband, father and friend to all who knew him. AJ is survived by his wife Gloria J. Hickerson; son Drew Hickerson and wife Jonelle; daughter Karen Hickerson Andrews and husband Tim; grandchildren Dustin Hacker and wife Crystal Kendall Hickerson, Parker Hickerson; great grandchildren Hudson Hacker, Brody Hacker, Brooks Hacker; sister in law and brother in law Sondra and Pat Heffernan and sons Chris, Jeremy, Ryan Heffernan and their families; longtime friends Bob and Betty Moland and family. Hurston, William V. "Bill"  
William Vernon "Bill" Hurston, 87, went to be with the LORD on March 20, 2015, at his home in Deer Park, Texas. Bill was born January 10, 1928 in Tampa, Florida to William and Genevieve Niles Hurston. Bill graduated from Jefferson High School. After proudly serving in the Navy, Bill attended the University of Florida and was a member of the ROTC and Kappa Alpha. He graduated with a degree in Business administration and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Bill worked for Shell Oil for 35 years at the same time becoming a Colonel in the U. S. Army Reserves. Upon Retirement Bill continued to help many businesses as a consultant in the act of communications. Bill continued to help many businesses as a consultant in the act of communications. Bill was predeceased by brother William Sturgis Hurston, sister Claudia Hurston Gazzo, daughters Marcia Hurston, twins Jo Ellen Hurston and Jan Elaine Hurston Burlin. Bill is survived by his wife, the love of his life, wife of 20 years, Ouida Terry Hurston; sister Lois Hurston Slatton, daughter Laura Hurston Pruitt and husband Mark; stepdaughters Carrie Reeves Crawford, Carla Reeves Bell and husband Wade; grandchildren William Blake Burlin, Nicholas Hurston Burlin, John Grady Pruitt, Jordyn Leigh Crawford, Lane Austin Crawford; and many loving nieces and nephews, sister -in-law Anita Terry Detweiler and brother-in-law Richard E. Terry, Jr. A memorial service will be held Friday March 27 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel 0f First Baptist Church Pasadena, 7500 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.

Peña, Richard  
Richard Barron Peña, 45, entered the gates of heaven on March 25, 2015. Richard was born to Rosie Barron and Leopoldo C. Peña in Pasadena, Texas on February 22, 1970. He graduated from Deer Park High School in 1989. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose P. Peña and Gregoria C. Peña and grandfather Pablo Barron. Richard leaves to cherish his memory, children Richard Alex Peña and Amanda Marie Peña, grandparents, Alicia and Ramon Ruiz, mother and stepfather, Rosie and Emeterio Vega, father and stepmother, Leopoldo and Delma Peña, brother and sister in law, Paul and Beverly Peña, nephews, Jonathan, Jesse and Jeremy Peña, nieces Amanda and Juliana Peña, great nephew, Weston Paul Peña. Along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Richard enjoyed spending time with family, barbequing, watching football, especially his favorite team, Houston Texans, attending Astros games and spending time at the family ranch. He was loving man with such a big heart and had many talents, especially when it came to his art work. Richard Barron Peña will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. A viewing will be held at Grandview Memorial, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505 Sunday March 29, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Lois Denhart Row, 87 born December 14, 1927 born to Harold and Beatrice Denhart in St. Joseph, Ill. She and her twin brother were the youngest of six children. Lois passed away March 28, 2015 in Pasadena, TX In June 1956 she married Bennie Row and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage before his death in 2007. Lois is survived by three children: Cindy Anderson (Tad) of Seattle, Bennie Row (Mary) of LaPorte and Pam Stepczyk (John) of Frisco. Also she had six grandchildren: Crystal, BJ, Clayton, Tiva, Mellissa and Alec, as well as six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:00 am at Grand View Funeral Home.

Helen Stark, 84 of Coldspring, Texas passed away March 9, 2015. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband Jesse F. Graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 13 at Grandview Cemetery with Ben Spigener, III and Eric Spigener officiating.
