Joseph E. Treml
AGE: 75 • Wilmington
Passed away on Fri., May 9, 2014 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, after a five month illness.
Joe worked for over 50 years as a home painter with various painting contractors, and he retired in 2005 from Maccari Painters.
His hobbies included many years of bowling and softball. He was an avid lifelong Phillies fan and always held a special place in his heart for Richie Ashburn. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Joe was the son of the late William and Marie (Myers) Treml. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John "Jackie" Treml.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Patricia A. (Barnes) Treml; his sons, Joseph E. Treml, Jr., and his wife, Michele, Richard Treml, and his wife, Debbie; his beloved grandchildren, Meagan and Justin; and his brothers, William E. Treml, and his wife, Mickey, and Edward A. Treml, and his wife, Betty; and several nieces and nephews.
Pat wishes to thank Seasons Hopsice and offer special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Debbie, for her heartfelt and loving care.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle R. C. Church, 4th and Bancroft Pkwy., Wilmington, on Fri., May 16, 2014 at 11:00 am. A viewing will take place at Krienen-Griffith Funeral Home, 1400 Kirkwood Hwy., Elsmere, on Thurs., May 15, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Thomas the Apostle R.C. Church, 4th and Bancroft Pkwy., Wilmington, DE 19805 or Seasons Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
