William J. Lawler
William J. Lawler Jr., age 82, of Bear, DE passed away on Thursday, July 25th, 2013. William was a graduate of Salesianum High School and was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Chrysler Newark Assembly Plant. William was a founding member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Newark. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
William is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Catherine T. Lawler, his children, William M. Lawler (Christine), Patrick C. Lawler, Charlotte M. Knapp (Ted), Mary T. DiCesare (Lou), Maureen A. Hrycek (Sam), Shelagh T. Temple (Richard), Deborah E. Crane (Ashley) and Kathleen C. Lawler. 14 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Eleanor Meeds.
A funeral service will be held at the First United Pentecostal Church of Newark, 73 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713 on Thursday, August 1, at 12 noon, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:30 am. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of William may be sent to the First United Pentecostal Church of Newark.
