Delanie Marie Tweed, age 22, of Wilmington, DE, passed away suddenly on March 29, 2014.
Delanie was a graduate of Christiana High School, as well as Paul Mitchell Hair Design. She was a talented hair stylist, with an amazing creative and artistic spirit. She loved animals, especially her cats. Some of her favorite times were spending time at the beach with her family and friends. Delanie will be remembered as a beautiful and talented girl, who always had a beautiful smile and big green eyes.
Delanie was predeceased by her brother, Bryan Tweed. She is survived by her parents, Vernon and Ellen Tweed; her maternal grandparents, William and Mary Stoopes; her paternal grandparents, George and Betty Tweed; as well as her aunts, Sharon Murphy, Sheila Eno and Susan Brown.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 2nd from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808, where a funeral service will begin at 11 A.M. Interment will be held in Gracelawn Memorial Park.

Vernon, Aunt Betty & Uncle George, I know that I didn't know Lanie personally & there are miles between us that prevents us from seeing one another but...we are still family & I love you. My heart aches for you all. You will all be in my prayers & my church has been sending up prayers for all the family. May God touch & be with you all today & in the days ahead.

My son Joe knew Lanie years ago; they were probably around 16. It was back when the kids used to hang out at the mall; I think Joe met Lanie through classmates of hers with whom he played baseball. I'm so sorry. I can't imagine your suffering. Please accept my sincere condolences. Rest in peace, beautiful little darling.
