Elaine "Lena" Helen Insley
Age 94, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Brandywine Assisted Living in Rehoboth Beach, DE with her loving daughter by her side. She was born in Marshallton, DE on March 6, 1918 daughter of the late Ferdnand and Conchetta George.
Mrs. Insley served as President of the Alter Society at St. Helena's Church in Wilmington for many years. She enjoyed providing training for the Candy Stripers at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington. Mrs. Insley loved crocheting beautiful pieces for friends and family. She also enjoyed a good shopping spree or sitting quietly working on her crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Luther H. Insley; sister: Mary J. George and brother Fred J. George. She is survived by her loving daughter, Bonnie Allison and husband Ernest of Rehoboth Beach, one sister: Ann Glover ; two grandsons: Stephen J. Allison and wife Lisa of Mechanicsburg, PA and Jonathan P. Allison of Wilmington.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11am at St. Edmond Catholic Church , 409 King Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington, DE. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Salesianum School , 1801 N. Broom St. Wilmington, DE 19802.

My deepest sympathies to you and your family for the loss of your mother. It has been many years since I last saw her, but I remember her as a fine and caring person. Leigh and I will remember her and your family in our prayers.
