Mrs. Kipp and Family: I had no idea Mr. Kipp was ill, but happened to read the Local section of the "News Journal" yesterday, only to discover this sad news. I was at the eye doctor's office when I read the news, and asked everyone there if they knew Jim Kipp. In fact, a lady sitting in the room with me, attends your church, and I was able to honor his memory in some small way by speaking with her. I am so very sorry for your loss. I sat and visited with Jim (and Carl Schnee and another gentleman) as they shared lunch at the Grill at the Hotel DuPont, within the past months. I was so happy to see him, and his gentle smile and kind eyes were as welcoming as ever. My thoughts are with you. Truly. - Meredith Jones

Elvie, Jim, Donna, Susie, and family -
We are so saddened for your loss of one of the kindest, most easy-going, funniest men we've ever known. I will cherish the "salad days" getting to know your family and the many times Big Jim made me laugh. And Rod had the pleasure of collaborating with him on a case, so he's lucky too. Our hearts and thoughts are with you - may God bless and keep you.
