Cicchetti, Donna  
Donna Cicchetti AGE: 51 • Newark Donna Cicchetti of Newark, Delaware, born on August 7, 1963, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 22, 2015. Donna graduated from Thomas McKean High School in 1981. She went on to become a postmaster for the United States Postal Service. Some of her many hobbies included playing softball, going shopping at the outlets, relaxing at the beach, playing games on the computer and arcade, drawing, watching Christmas movies, and most of all spending time with her family and close friends. Donna had a great sense of humor and could always bring a smile to someone's face. She will always be remembered holding her large Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Donna was a hardworking, dedicated, generous, and compassionate mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her father, John Cicchetti; brother, Michael Cicchetti; grandparents, Michael and Mary Kasowski; grandfather, John Cicchetti; uncle, Patrick Cicchetti; and cousin, Barbara A. Cutillo. Donna will be sadly missed by her son, Corey Michael Cicchetti, who was her pride and joy; mother, Ann (Kasowski) Cicchetti; grandmother Lydia T. (Michini) Cicchetti; sister, Karen Southard and her husband, Jim; niece, Alyssa Southard; and nephew, Jimmy Southard. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 31, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek, Wilmington, DE 19808. Crews, E. Dale "Big Daddy"  
E. Dale "Big Daddy" Crews AGE: 82 • Clayton Edwin Dale Crews, age 82, of Claymont, DE passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, at his home. A native of Mecklenburg County, Virginia, he was the son of the late James and Dorothy (Winn) Crews of Boydton, VA. He graduated from Virginia Tech and served in the Air Force for four years as an Air Traffic Controller at Neah Bay, WA. He returned home to marry the late Myrth Elaine Schultz from Wheeler, OR. He had a career in agricultural sales, primarily with Ralston Purina and Southern States, and lived in Boydton, Chase City, Pulaski, and Roanoke, VA, before retiring to Wilmington, DE. He was grateful to AA for twenty-five years of sobriety. Dale was preceded in death by his wife Myrth; his son, Edwin Crews Jr; his daughter, Jackie Crews; and his brother, Colonel (retired) James Monroe Crews, Jr. Cherishing his memories are his daughter Elaine O'Connell and granddaughter Sarah Myrth O'Connell, both of Wilmington, DE; his sister-in-law, Barbara Crews of Birmingham, AL; nieces, Kathy Teufert of Mahtomedi, MN and Susan Farrell of Birmingham, AL; nephew, James Monroe Crews III of Golden, CO; and a vast number of other caring friends. Dale was a humble and loving man who gave his all to his family, his many friends, and his cat companion, Ms. Kitty, and could always be counted on for his entertaining stories. We know he's having a huge home cooked southern meal with the big man upstairs, and that he is already the life of the party. A memorial celebration of his life will be held Saturday, January 31st at noon at the Delaware Association of Police (DAP), 2201 Lancaster Ave, Wilmington, DE. Burial will be private. The family thanks the staff at Wilmington Hospital, Christiana Hospital, Cadia Rehab Silverside, Christiana Care VNA, Brandywine Village Network and Delaware Hospice for their care and support. Robert L. Carpenter AGE: 82 • Dover, DE Robert L. "Bob" Carpenter of Dover, DE, age 82, passed away suddenly on January 25, 2015. He was born in Wilmington, DE on March 23, 1932 to the late Robert and Edith Carpenter. Bob was retired from local 74 of the Pipefitters Union. He served as past President of the Shrine Club of Delaware, Nur Temple. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his sisters, Elsie Jackson, Elizabeth Adkins; and his first wife, Gertrude Carpenter. He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Joan Carpenter; sister, Sarah Snyder; step-daughters, Charlene Burr (Tony) and Denise Sawyer (Dan); step-grandchildren, Joshua and Jenn Burr; and his dearest friend, Buck Musser and family. A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10 am in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am. Burial will be private. Sabina A. "Sally" Caruso AGE: 70 • Wilmington Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Seasons Hospice Sally was born in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Rose (Bianco) and Anthony T. Sarro. She was a homemaker and was also predeceased by her brother, Anthony F. Sarro in 1997. Michael J. Clark AGE: 60 • Wilmington Passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at his residence on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Born in Wilmington, Michael was the son of the late James U. and Eileen (Kelleher) Clark and brother of the late Susan Clark. He was a 1972 graduate of Conrad High School. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 542, for 37 years and retired in 2013. His memberships included the Terrace Athletic Club, Defiance Athletic Club, St. Gabe's, St. Anthony's Club and Stahl Post. He enjoyed golfing, shuffleboard and was an avid reader. He was a devoted husband and father. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 38 years, Patti (French) Clark; his daughters, Amy E. Clark and Caitlin E. Clark, both of Wilmington; his son, Andrew P. Clark of Philadelphia; and his brother and sister-in-law, David and Diane Clark of Wilmington, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visitation on Tuesday evening, January 27th between 5 PM and 8 PM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington. Cavanaugh, Carl L.  
Carl L. Cavanaugh AGE: 82 • Newark Carl Leonard Cavanaugh, age 82, of Newark, Delaware passed peacefully in his home and went on to be with the Lord on Friday, January 16, 2015. Born April 15, 1932 and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Carl lived in Newark, Delaware for the past 53 years. Carl graduated from Meyers High School and proudly served four years in the United States Air Force. Carl made his career at Diamond State Telephone and AT&T where he was instrumental in implementing the company's fiber optic technology. Carl was predeceased by his parents, Edward J. Cavanaugh and Elizabeth I. Fetterman Cavanaugh and brothers, Edward, Charles, and Harold. Carl is survived by his wife of 56 years, Suzanne Goodwin Cavanaugh, his four children, Dale (wife Lisa), Steven (wife Geri), Tammi Schroeder (husband John) and Dawn von Fricken (husband Daniel) and his grandchildren, Kyle and Eric Cavanaugh, Samuel and Joshua von Fricken and Anna and Allison Schroeder. Carl is also survived by his sister, Cheryl Thornton (husband Larry) and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27th from 9:00 -11:00 am with a service at 11 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 followed by a Christian burial at the Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
