Ernest W. Callahan AGE: 72 • Frankford Ernest W. Callahan, 72 of Frankford, DE died peacefully on September 28, 2016 at home. Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, he resided for the past 17 years in Frankford, DE, previously residing in Claymont. Ernest was a pipefitter for Dupont, retiring after 25 years. He previously worked for Greggo & Ferrara Inc After graduating from Brown Vocational High School, he served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Ernie was an avid Flyers fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing sports. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Barrow Callahan and 7 siblings. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pauletta Sparklin Callahan, 2 children, Leonard Callahan and Chrissy (Victor) Squillace, brother, Robert Callahan, 9 grandchildren and also 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, Pa. where friends may call from 10-11AM. Chism Jr., James I.  
JAMES I. CHISM, JR. AGE: 63 • Claymont, Delaware Age, 63 of Claymont, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 20, 2016. He was born in Chester, PA to the late James I. Chism, Sr. and his wife Doris Reed Campbell. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Joanne B. Chism (DiGiacoma); his children, Brenda Cuomo (Steven) and Michelle Teague (Alex);his step-father, Charles McCreary and his brother, Jack McCreary (MaryBeth). Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Leander, Hunter and Sebastian, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday September 24, 2016 at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, where friends may greet the family from 9:30 to 11:00 am. A celebration luncheon of Jim's life will follow the services at Harry's Savoy Grill and Ballroom, 2020 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE 19810 from 12:00 to 3:00pm. Ciach Sr., Stanley Thomas  
Stanley Thomas Ciach, Sr. AGE: 93 • Elsmere Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Stanley was born in Wilmington to the late Frank and Mary Anna (Janiec) Ciach on November 19, 1922.Stanley faithfully served his country during World War II as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. Upon returning home, he worked as a dedicated auto mechanic for many years. Stanley married the love of his life, Mary Kaminski on October 15, 1944. He was a member of both the VFW 3257 Polish American and Dist. #1 VFW. Stanley volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years. He also served as a Commissioner of the Delmarva Council. Stanley also enjoyed spending time at the Oak Grove Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ciach, 2004. Stanley will be dearly missed by his daughter, Barbara A. Jones; his sons, Thomas F. Ciach, Sr. and his wife, Linda, and Stanley T. Ciach, Jr.; his three grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Chris Jones and his wife, Lori, and Thomas Ciach, Jr.; and his great-grandchildren, Maura, Chloe, Evan, and Tyler Jones; and nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 901 New Rd., Elsmere, DE 19805, on Tuesday, September 27 at 11:30 am. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00-11:30am. Interment will take place at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE, on Wednesday, September 28 at 10:00am. Conly, Gary James  
Gary James Conly AGE: 62 • Colorado Springs Gary Conly, formerly of Newark, died unexpectedly on September 20, 2016 in Colorado. Born in Wilmington to Robert and Joan Conly, Gary graduated in 1971 from Dickinson High School and in 1973 from the University of Delaware. In his younger years, he was a bouncer at the original Stone Balloon on Main Street in Newark. An entrepreneur, Gary owned and operated several businesses, including, with his late brother Bob, General Rental Center in Newark. Gary was happiest when he was outside and moved to Colorado so that he could spend time in the beauty of the state's wilderness. He loved to kayak, bike, camp and ski - and volunteered as a ski-jet, which is basically a life-guard for skiers. Gary is survived by his 3 sons: Kelly, Drew, and Daniel; his parents, Robert H. and Joan F. Conly; and his sister, Bonnie L. Conly. He was preceded in death in 1999 by his brother, Bob. A service in thanksgiving for the life of Gary Conly will be held at 12 noon, Friday, September 30 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway (Route 2 East at Duncan Rd.), where friends may call after 11:00am. Interment will be held privately at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Cuomo, James  
James Cuomo AGE: 82 • Rehoboth Beach James P Cuomo, 82, of Rehoboth Beach, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on September 20th with his loving wife Kathy by his side. Jimmy was born in Wilmington, DE on June 21, 1934. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School. He served in the US Navy, a veteran of the Korean War and was a proud member of Teamsters Local 326. Jimmy worked for Preston Trucking Co for 30 years before retiring in 1997. In addition to spending time with his family and his feline friends, Ollie, Mollie, and Angel, he enjoyed watching old westerns and old family videos. When he could, he enjoyed bowling, professional sports and horse racing. He and his brothers enjoyed playing baseball on Saturdays at Banning Park during the summers. Jimmy had many cool cars over the years but his favorite was his black 56 Ford Fairlane. He was the life of the party and always had a smile that was contagious. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Cuomo, mother, Mary Pratt Cuomo, and previous wives Beverly Cuomo and Frances Kreider. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen Scott Cuomo, Children: Debbie Bader (Matthew), Kim Hayes (Roger), Rose Samluk (Steve), Christine Cuomo, Michael Cuomo (Evelyn), Jimmy Cuomo Jr. (Anne Marie), Jackie Cuomo (Tim), Christopher Cuomo (Laurie), John Cuomo. Brothers: Frederick Cuomo Jr. of Palm Springs, CA, Paul Cuomo of Wilmington, Joseph Cuomo of Elkton, MD, Henry Cuomo of Smyrna, Kathy Weimer of Sarasota, FL, and Karen Psalidas of Tulsa, OK., 22 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and lifelong friends, Charles (Fig) Poore, Ralph and Richard Lloyd and Nelson Cammock. Services will be held at Corleto-Latina Family Center, 807 N. Union St. Wilm. on Monday, September 26, 11:30am. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 - 11:30.
