Langenstein, Roberta Ann  
Roberta Ann Langenstein AGE: 78 • Millsboro Roberta Ann Langenstein, age 78, of Millsboro, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Beebe Hospital in Lewes. Born in Mays Landing, New Jersey, she is the daughter of the late Robert Porter Knight and Ella Onda Knight. Roberta was a loving homemaker, and enjoyed reading, and solving crossword puzzles. She is survived by her husband Charles Jerry Langenstein, Sr. of Millsboro. Her sons Gary Langenstein and his wife Yasmine of Smyrna, Charles Langenstein, Jr. and his wife Beth of Concord, N.C., and Joseph Langenstein of Millsboro. Her daughter, Lori Oneschuk and her husband Jeff of New Castle, DE. Grandchildren; Khrisie, Amanda, Kyle, Kendall, Kasey, Austin, Riley, Megan, and Lauren. In addition to her parents, Roberta is preceded in death by her siblings, Francis Edward Knight, Sr., and Jacqueline Vassalotti. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 11am-1pm at the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home 700 West Street, Laurel, Delaware 19956. A committal service will follow in the chapel at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, Delaware 19966 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Joel Beiler will officiate. Langley, Elizabeth Deshong "Betty Jo"  
Elizabeth "Betty Jo" Deshong Langley Elizabeth "Betty Jo" Deshong Langley went home to the LORD July 9, 2016. Betty is survived by her son Joseph Langley, sister May Deshong Shoemaker, son Edwin Fedick, beloved grandchildren Keira Jaiyde and Kamden Noah, several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, and many friends. Family and friends are welcome to attend the memorial service at Bethel Baptist Church, 1217 Wilson Road, Wilmington, on Monday, July 18 at 11am. Flowers are not necessary, but those who attend are welcome to bring white flowers.

Laws, Edward Kenneth (Ken)  
Edward Kenneth (Ken) Laws AGE: 75 • Bear Edward Kenneth (Ken) Laws, 75, of Bear, DE, passed away at home July 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Delaware, Ken was born in Newark on June 12, 1941. He was a graduate of Newark High School, a veteran of the Army National Guard and retired from a career at DuPont as a computer programmer. He had a love of horses, John Deere tractors, and he and his wife enjoyed their annual trips to Alpine Lake, WV. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 50 years, Doreen C. Laws; a daughter Dawn Benson and her husband Mark of Newark; 8 grandchildren, Scott Estep, Taylor Benson, Abigail Benson, Mark Benson, Jr., Jenna Benson, Brennen Laws, Andrew Schaen and Payton Schaen; a sister Shelva Hendrickson and a brother, Harry Laws. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his daughter Kelli A. Laws. Services honoring his life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday July 22, 2016 at R.T Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711, with a visitation at the funeral home beginning at 10:00. Lee, Janet Godwin  
Janet Godwin Lee formerly of Newark Janet G. Lee of Laurel, formerly of Newark, passed away on July 18, 2016 at the Manor House in Seaford. Janet was born on Nov. 5, 1928 to Earl and Mildred Godwin and graduated from Newark HS. Janet married Clifford F. Lee and moved to Laurel in 1958. Janet was always very active in community events and organizations, where she was a charter member of the Laurel Lioness, member of Laurel Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 55 years, Laurel Chamber of Commerce, and Laurel Redevelopment Corporation. Janet was an active member of Centenary UM Church where she was a member of the Rebecca Circle, Worship Committee, and Friendship Sunday School Class. Janet is survived by her sons Randy (Ann) and Tommy (Sandy); and Biff's companion Virginia Whaley. Her grandchildren are Brad (Opal), Brent, Amanda Lowe-Whaley (Jeff), Scott; and great-grandchildren are Kortney, Brady, Brina, Taylor, and Lukas. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Clifford, and son, Clifford (Biff), and an infant son, Barry. A service will be held at Centenary UM Church, Laurel, on Saturday, July 23, at 11:00 am where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Laurel Lioness Club (P. O. Box 105, Laurel DE 19956), LFD Ladies Auxiliary (207 W. 10th St., Laurel DE 19956) or Centenary UM Women (200 W. Lemon Jr., Harry A.  
Harry A. Lemon, Jr. AGE: 83 • Wilmington Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Manor Care on Foulk Road. Born in Wilmington, Harry was the son of the late Elma (Robinson) and Harry A. Lemon, Sr. and was a graduate of Wilmington High School. He served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean War. Before his retirement, he worked for Havec and Electric Hose and Rubber. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan and enjoyed Delaware Park every Sunday. In addition to his parents, Harry was predeceased by his brothers, Francis J. and Norman A. Lemon. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn (Ruskowski) Lemon; his sons, Mark and his wife, Carole, and Harry; his brothers, James H. and Paul V. Lemon and his wife, Margaret; his sister, Jean Folts; and his grandchildren, Jason and his wife, Nicole, Eric and Alexander. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 19th at 11 AM at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington where friends are invited to visitation after 9 AM. Long Sr., William W.  
William W. Long, Sr. AGE: 91 • Seaford William W. Long, Sr. of Seaford, DE died peacefully on July 12, 2016 at Seasons Hospice in Christiana, DE at the age of 91. He was born in 1925 in Philadelphia, PA to Mark L. and Clara D. Long. William proudly served in the Navy in World War II. He attended Friends Select School and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. During his time in Pennsylvania he taught sixth grade in Haverford Township, was Supervising Principal in Ambler, and was Superintendent of Schools in Southern School District, Glen Rock. Upon moving to Delaware, he became Superintendent of Schools for Seaford School District and worked in administration in Laurel School District. Following his retirement in 1991, he worked as a supervisor and mentor of student teachers at Salisbury University. William is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, June Long; his children, William W. Long, Jr., Karen Wilson (Bruce), Susan Long, and John Long (Susan); grandchildren, Lauren Carey, Michael Long (Ivy), and Jessica Berg (Jorgen); and he was looking forward to the arrival of his new great-grandson. In addition to spending time with his family, he loved reading, going out to eat, and drinking a good cup of coffee. Just as he dedicated his career to learning, he continues to educate even in death as he willed his body to scientific medical research. Services and interment will be held privately.
