Irving Kaufman Irving Kaufman, June 22, 2016 of Bryn Mawr, PA. Husband of Ruth (nee Chevan). Father of Rachel Hachen and Daniel (Cathy) Kaufman. Brother of Bernard Kaufman. Also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to services at West Laurel Hill Cemetery (Bringhurst Chapel), 215 Belmont Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA, Friday June 24, 1:00pm. Interment to follow at the cemetery. King, Dana Carroll  
Dana Carroll King Dana Carroll King, 71, passed away peacefully at the Kutz Nursing Home on Wednesday, June 15th, losing her 10 year battle with Arachnoiditis, also known as failed back surgery. She was strong willed, especially through her long and painful illness. Doctors and nurses admired her determination to live and enjoy life even though her quality of life was severely diminished. Dana leaves behind her sister, Sue Ansley (Bill) of Mooresville, NC; brother, Curtis Gibson (Jennifer) of Keyport, NJ; aunt, Sonia Popper and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Kutz Nursing Home and Season's Hospice for their gentle care of Dana. The nurses, aides and administration were always available with concern for Dana's health. Such loyalty and kindness has been invaluable. Dana loved her church, pastor and congregation. They became her family. Life-long friendships were established giving Dana the love and support she needed. We would like to especially recognize Diana Decker, who served as Dana's medical advocate for the past several years. Her continuous support for Dana in the absence of her immediate family was exemplary. Dana loved Diana as a sister. The family is deeply thankful to everyone at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. A celebration of Dana's life will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 501 Duncan Road, Wilmington, DE 19809 on Saturday, June 25th. Visitation with family will be at 10 a.m. with church service at 11 a.m. A luncheon at the church will follow the service. Burial will be private. Klein, D. Michael  
D. Michael Klein AGE: 87 • Newark Passed away on June 21, 2016 at the Millcroft Nursing Home. Mike was born in Sioux Falls, SD, the son of the late Angela (Hartwell) and Jacob Herbert Klein. He received his Masters Degree from Rose Poly Technical Institute and worked as a chemical engineer for over 40 years for the DuPont Company. Mike also was a member of the Naval Reserve. Mike always fondly remembered his childhood in the Midwest, recalling details that delighted him about family, friends, and even tornadoes. He was always the personality in the room. Observant, sharp, wise, giving, and compassionate, Mike could always move the group to smile big, to laugh hard, and to think deep, whether present or being fondly remembered. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ann Kappel. After 64 years of marriage, Mike remained a devoted husband to Nancy Tully Klein, telling her in one of his final days that they were meant to be together. He is also survived by their daughters, Mary An Love and her husband, Bill of Bear and Ann Louise Klein of Clarksboro, NJ; theri sons and their spouses, Michael T. and Elizabeth Klein of The Villages, FL and Patrick K. and Annette Klein of Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Michael (Heather), Jessica, Jennifer (David), Michael, Jr., Lisa, Patrick, Lea, Zachary, Nicholas, William (Katie) and Christine; his great-grandchildren, Brianna, Alyssa and Riley; his sister, Claire Pedersen and her husband, Kaare of St. Louis, MO and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 27, 2016 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin at 10:30 AM, where friends may call after 9:30 AM. Robert "Bob" M. LaManna AGE: 50 • Newark Robert "Bob" M. LaManna, age 50, of Newark, passed away on June 11, 2016. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Garrett LaManna, and sister, Deborah LaManna. He is survived by his mother, Linda LaManna of Lewes, DE; brother, Joseph LaManna and his wife Terri of Bear, DE; three nephews, Vincent Iubatti of Portland, OR; Andrew Iubatti of PA; and Joseph LaManna Jr. of Bear, DE; and great-niece, Ellie of Portland, OR. He will also be remembered by everyone at his second home at Chimes. He was adored by all there, and he loved them all. Bob had a beautiful smile and good sense of humor. He enjoyed returning home to Lewes, DE and going to the beach as well as fishing with his brother, Joey. Catherine L. "Kay" Lee AGE: 79 • Port Charlotte, FL Catherine L. "Kay" Lee, 79, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away May 21, 2016. She was born December 18, 1936 in Chester, PA. Kay retired from ICI Americas and moved to Port Charlotte in 1996 from Wilmington, DE. She was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church of Port Charlotte. Kay enjoyed spending time with family and friend's. She loved to dance and play games. Kay especially loved when family would visit in Florida. She is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth (Mike) Kirschling, Mary Pat Lee and Rita Long; brothers, Timothy (Cathey) Long and Joseph (Dianne) Long; brother-in-law, Thomas Boden; sister-in-law, Nancy Long; numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Harry Lee; parents, Leonard and Eileen Long; brother, Leonard Long; sister, Eileen Boden and brother-in-law, Richard Lee. Allan C. Lynch, Jr. AGE: 67 • Milford Allan C. Lynch, Jr., age 67, of Milford died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at home. He was born in Milford and was the son of the late Allan C. and Alice Z. (Kitchens) Lynch. He retired as Vice President of the former Wilmington Trust Bank. He enjoyed volunteering with Prime Hook Beach Replenishment Projects and was devoted to the "Just Flip 'em" Horseshoe crab conservation programs. Allan flipped between 29 and 49 thousand crabs a year. Allan was an avid golfer, zealous traveler and loved going to the casinos and playing slots. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dale Lynch; a step-daughter, Lisa Randall and husband Michael; a step-son, Nathan Nichols and wife Angela; a nephew, Stephen Hugg and wife Dawn and six step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Hugg. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, June 24 at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville. Martin, Claire Ann (Deavitt)  
Claire Ann Martin (nee Deavitt) Age 69, passed away on June 20, 2016, in Wilmington, DE. Claire was a 1964 graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School. She was a proud homemaker, and spent many years teaching Sunday school and sharing her love of Jesus with children. Claire was an accomplished seamstress, who made custom prom gowns for her daughters and draperies and home accessories for her own and daughters' homes. In retirement, she loved quilting and making baby quilts for family and friends and for charitable organizations. Claire loved to read, attend Broadway musicals and concerts, and going down the shore to Ocean City and Cape May. She enjoyed family vacations to Florida and Williamsburg, VA, and two trips to Ireland. Claire is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Edward M. Martin; two daughters, Susan (Vince) Visoskas of Downingtown, PA and Karen (Chuck) Davis of Easton, MD; three cherished grandchildren, Calvin, Abby and Matthew; her brother, Robert Deavitt; sisters, Barbara Deavitt and Regina Deavitt Beaucheane; and loyal golden retrievers, Chase and Tully. Claire was predeceased by her parents, John Harry and Margaret Deavitt; and brother, John "Bud" Deavitt. A Celebration of Life service will be 7:00 pm, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Olivet United Methodist Church, 933 Centerton Road, Pittsgrove, NJ 08318. Patricia A. McCabe AGE: 73 • Dagsboro Patricia A. McCabe, age 73, of Dagsboro, DE passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Atlantic Shores Nursing Home in Millsboro, DE. Patricia was born in Salisbury, MD daughter of the late, Ernest and Gladys (Mears) Wooten. She worked as a secretary for the Indian River Senior Center for many years, Rite-aid Pharmacy and finally was a Bus Driver for the Indian River School District. She enjoyed sewing & crafting; loved spending time with her family and grandchildren; and adored the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Preston A. "Zeke" McCabe. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Dawn Gibbons and her husband Bill; her son, Todd McCabe and his wife Gwen; five grandchildren, Michael and Brian Gibbons, Zachary Choma, Gwynevieve and Eva McCabe, all of Dagsboro. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 10:00 am. Ida C. McGaha Ida McGaha, age 89, passed away on June 17, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Oley and Sara Seeney. Ida had worked at Primo's and later started a house-cleaning business. In retirement, Ida had a love of crocheting as well as games such as Scrabble, cards and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her late husband Wayne J. McGaha, as well as six siblings. Ida is survived by her children, Wayne McGaha, Jr., Wendy Wiseman (Keith) and Sandra McGaha, as well as her sister, Mary Smith. Ida is also survived by her three grandchildren, Nathan, Keith and Melanie and great-grandson, Evan. Her beloved pets, Angel and Pepper are also left to cherish her memory. She was 1 of 15 Children, and is survived by only her sister's Agnes Reno and Joan Eisenhart. She was predeceased by her husband James J McGarrity Sr. and her son Nathan Lee Bailey. Emma was a loving and caring woman that retired after 30 years of working at Westvaco in Newark, DE, she enjoyed collecting Native American Artifacts and loves all animals. Emma will be deeply missed by her 7 children Barbara Bailey of Dunedin, FL, Richard Bailey of New Castle DE, Ruth Barker of Bear, DE, Michael Burton of Laurel DE, Cindy Reynolds of Claymont, DE, Robert Bailey of Bear, DE and James McGarrity of Clearwater, FL, her 19 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, 6 Grand Puppies and her beloved cat Tinker Bell. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Mealey Funeral Home at 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with services thereafter. Burial will follow at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery located at 2465 Chesapeake City Road Bear, DE 19701.
