Adelbert D. "Bert" Boyle

Adelbert Douglas Boyle, 91,of Newark, DE, Formerly of Westfield, NJ, died on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at Churchman Village, Newark, DE.

He graduated public school in Queens, NY, in 1936, and graduated from South River High School, South River, NJ in 1940. He was a foreman for Springfield Sheet Metal Co., in Springfield, NJ. and later owner of Constant Heating and Air Conditioning, in Springfield and Westfield, NJ.

Bert enjoyed golfing during his retirement in Delaware. He was discharged as a Corporal, from the United States Marine Corps, in 1945, served in the Pacific during World War ll, as a refrigeration specialist in New Caledonia, and Peleliu. Bert was a member of Sheet Metal Worker's International Association Local Union #22, in Union County, NJ, for 62 years. He served as a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Springfield, NJ.

Bert was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Dyer Boyle of 62 years, who died in 2009. He is survived by his Daughters, Cheryl Rolph (Louis) of Newark, DE and, Loreen Finkelstein (Michael) of Williamsburg, VA,

his Grandchildren, Ellen Peery (Stewart) of Charlotte, NC, Sara Finkelstein of Denver, CO, and Andrew Finkelstein of Tahoe City, CA, his Great Grandson, Walton Peery of Charlotte, NC.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation, on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702, from 11:00AM to 12. A funeral service will held at 12. Interment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701 at 1:00PM.
