Allan M. Wrang

Allan, age 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at the Highfield Masonic Home of Delaware.

He was born in Duluth, MN to the late John and Martha Wrang. Allan graduated from Drexel University in 1957, with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He was an Air Force veteran of WWII. Allan worked for the DuPont Company at Louviers for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He was Past Master of Corinthian Lodge # 20 A.F. & A.M., Past Potentate of the Nur Shrine Temple and was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite. He was a member of Post-Cana, a member of the DuPont Country Club and an avid golfer.

His wife of 45 years Thelma M. Wrang, died in 1992. Allan is survived by his daughters, Linda E. Gray of Dilltown, PA and Lorraine M. Rose and her husband Ben of Smyrna, DE; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and his companion of 18 years, Vivian Burr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Arvie and grandson, Benny Allan Rose.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 2pm, at the MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOME, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy(at Duncan Rd), Wilmington, where friends may call after 1pm. A Masonic service will be held at 1:45pm. Burial will be private.

Due to health issues, the family respectfully request no flowers, contributions in Allan's honor may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o Nur Shriners, PO Box 10085, Wilmington, DE 19850-0085
