Betty Ann McIntosh
Betty Ann McIntosh, age 60, of Claymont, DE, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Wilmington Hospital.
Betty was educated in the Philadelphia School system. A daycare owner, wife, mother, homemaker, and nursing home assistant, Betty wore many hats, but her passion was her family and spending time with friends. In addition to work, Betty enjoyed arts and crafts, bowling, bingo, traveling, watching the Game Show Network, fashion, shopping, and watching "Leave it to Beaver" and "Little House on the Prairie." She was a long-time member of Concord Baptist Church, MANCUS, Delaware Association for the Blind, and the Concord Ladies Fellowship.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, James Andre McIntosh; sons, James Andre McIntosh, Jr., Justin Ora McIntosh; grandchildren, Zachary Lamphere McIntosh, Isaiah Scott McIntosh, Amina Sarai McIntosh, Emory Arbolito McIntosh; parents, George Rivers, Sr. and Eddie Mae Rivers (Davis); siblings, Elaine Rivers, De'Elva Rivers, Kimberleigh Rivers, Joanne Rivers, Karen Odom, Edith Sanders, and George Rivers, Jr; and a host of other family members.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 10:30 am at Concord Baptist Church, 2510 Marsh Rd., Wilmington, DE where friends are invited pay their respects to the family from 9-10:15. Entombment will take place at Chelton Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia, PA.
