Betty Louise Turner
Betty Louise Turner, age 81, of Wilmington, formerly of Newark, passed away on June 25, 2013 at Regal Heights Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Hockessin.
Betty attended Penns Grove High School in Penns Grove, NJ. She was employed as a Nanny and raised over 20 children.
She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty loved to read and sew and enjoyed making dolls. She also hand-crocheted many beautiful baby sweaters. She was a member of a Bible study group and the Rosary Society at Regal Heights.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Elizabeth Turner of Carneys Point, NJ. She is survived by her daughter Marcelle and her husband George Mollick of Wilmington; daughter Lisa and her husband Mark Keim of Park City, UT; grandchildren Gina Smith of Hockessin, Jeffrey Garber of Newark, Kevin Garber of Elkton, Nicole Keim of Houston, TX and Latticia Buckholtz of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren Courtney Smith, Buddy Smith, George-Anne Smith, Abigail Smith, Samantha Garber, Isabella Garber, Lydia Garber, Joshua Garber, Elena Garber, Rebecca Garber, Malachi Buckholtz and Jonathan Garber; sister Claire Culp of Woodstown, NJ; and sister Kay Ayars of Carneys Point, NJ.
Funeral services will be held at 8 pm on Monday July 1, at the CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 7230 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin where friends and family may visit from 6 to 8 pm. Interment will be held at 11 am on Tuesday July 2 at East View Cemetery in Salem, NJ.
