Bryan J. Kosc
Bryan Joseph Kosc, 7 years old, died in Christiana Hospital as the result of a tragic car accident on Route 1, near Smyrna, on Monday evening, August 12, 2013.
Bryan was born on April 27, 2006 in Wilmington DE. He attended Christ the Teacher School, where he was to enter the second grade this fall and make his first Holy Communion at his parish St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
He was an adorable kid, full of life and energy, very affectionate, and entertaining. Everyone who knew him loved him while he made us laugh with his quick wit and charm. Bryan had a winning attitude and enjoyed the spirit of competition, especially with his brother. He was a good athlete, participated in soccer at the local YMCA and played Bear Babe Ruth Baseball. Bryan was looking forward to playing flag football in the fall. Bryan was especially proud of his achievement this year in getting good grades and being selected to play in the Bear Babe Ruth All Star Game which earned him a trophy. Bryan loved to play golf and racquetball with his Dad. Other hobbies and interests included taking care of his fish tank, feeding his favorite fish Molly, and playing Xbox and Ipod games with his brother and friends. His summers were spent at the beach in Ocean City MD jumping the ocean waves, swimming in the pool, playing miniature golf, and enjoying an Oreo Blizzard from Dairy Queen. Bryan also enjoyed cheering on the Delaware Blue Hens, Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Orioles.
Bryan is the son of Thomas J. Kosc of Bear, DE and Eileen M. (Piekarski) Kosc of Wilmington. He is also survived by his older brother, Brandon T. Kosc; his grandparents, Bernard and Sandra Kosc of Newark and Richard, Sr. and Dorothy Piekarski of Wilmington; his uncles, Richard Piekarski, Jr., Stephen and Andrew Kosc; his aunts, Christine Piekarski, Renee and Erin Kosc; and his cousins, Mason, Brady, Courtney, Grayson and Adeline. He leaves behind many extended family members, classmates, team members and friends.
