Dan D. Fisher
Age 87, of Greenville, DE Passed away on Saturday, December, 15, 2012. Dan was born in Meyersdale, PA, the younger of two children to the late Dr. Clarence and Mildred Fisher. Before continuing his education, Dan was in the United States Army where he served in the Pacific Theater. He earned his Engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dan moved to Delaware to start a career with the DuPont Company. While at DuPont, Dan worked at the Louviers Building, Savannah River Plant, and the Red Mill facility. Dan and his wife Jean were avid boaters on the Chesapeake Bay. Before moving to Greenville, Dan and Jean were active members of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Dan was predeceased by his wife Hallie "Jean" and his son George. He is survived by his sister Ruth I. Fisher; his two daughters Carol Oates and husband Thomas; Susan Williams and husband Michael; daughter-in-law Debra Fisher; three Grandchildren, Andrea Coleman and husband Keith; Anthony Cutrona III and wife Rachelle; Cade Fisher and wife Laura; and seven great-grandchildren. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at 10 am on Thursday, January 10, conducted by Chaplin Ron Bergman at the Danby Chapel at Methodist Country House, 4830 Kennett Pike, Greenville, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, "Save the Bay", Attn: Membership Department, 6 Herndon Ave., Annapolis, MD 21403.
