Deborah D. Isaacs
Deborah D. Isaacs, 80 of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
Mrs. Isaacs was born in Latrobe, PA on May 13, 1933, daughter of the late Guy and Lena (DiMeo) Ballard. She was employed with the University of Delaware and retired in 1995 following 10 years of dedicated service. A member of St. John the Beloved Parish, she enjoyed playing poker and a good game of bridge. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband and many camping trips with her family.
Mrs. Isaacs will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, John L. Isaacs, Jr.; her son, John L. Isaacs, III and his girlfriend, Donna Simmerman, who was a devoted care giver to Deborah;and her daughters, Linda DiMeo-Lowman, Donna Brown and her partner, Lori Storm and Marie Isaacs. She is also survived by her brother, Bruce Ballard and his wife, Donna; her sister, Jeannine James and her husband, Thomas; her niece, Diana Morres; and her beloved pets, Rocky, Mei Ling and Sheba.
She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Harris.
The family would like to thank the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Hospital and the Visiting Nurses Association for the love and care given to Deborah.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, May 17 from 1:30 - 3:00PM. Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM. Interment will be held privately with her family.
