Edward A. Rohrbaugh, DMD, 72, of Newark, DE passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 11, 2014
Dr. Rohrbaugh was born in Wilmington on December 27, 1941, son of the late Emory and Elois (Hebbert) Rohrbaugh. A graduate of Newark High School, class of 1959, he was a 1965 graduate of the University of Delaware and a 1971 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Rohrbaugh was a veteran of the United States Navy
, having been stationed in the Great Lakes region and Japan, and served as a dentist. Locally, he was a dentist in the Pike Creek area for 31 years.
Dr. Rohrbaugh was an active member of the Pike Creek Valley Lions Club, Fieldstone Golf Club and Limestone Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golf, traveling and, most importantly, spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
Dr. Rohrbaugh is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jacquelyn (Myers) Rohrbaugh; his children, Edward Rohrbaugh, Jr. and wife, Kristine, Laura Rohrbaugh and husband, Thomas Moran, and Margaret Rohrbaugh and husband, Edward Ramos; and his grandsons, Homer, Noah, Quinn, Asher and Liam. He is also survived by his brother, Emory Rohrbaugh, III; and his sisters, Elois Veltman, Elizabeth Bilson and her husband, Morris.
Visitation will be held at Limestone Presbyterian Church, 3201 Limestone Road, Wilmington on Friday, March 14 from 3:00-5:00PM, and on Saturday, March 15 from 9:00-10:45AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM. Interment will be held privately.
