Edward Anton Dusek

Edward Anton Dusek, age 88, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully at Seasons Hospice on Thursday April 18, 2013.

Mr. Dusek was an intelligent businessman, a talented craftsman and an all-around people person. He was the type of man that treated everyone as he treated his own. Mr. Dusek was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a very influential man who taught others to be generous and forgiving.

He was a devout Catholic with a heart of gold who never lost his faith. He was a diligent and skillful worker in everything he did/approached. He was a man who made a difference in everyone's lives in which he encountered.

Mr. Dusek was a man of great honor and integrity who served in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from North Central University in 1951 with a business degree.

He is predeceased by his wife, Irene and son Michael E. Dusek. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia A. Cross and son-in-law, Patrick Cross, both of Wilmington; daughter-in-law, Joan Dusek of Newark; grandchildren, Erin, Allyson and Michael Dusek of Newark, Christiana Dusek, Steven Bouchard of Wilmington, and Steve and Dan Cross of PA; and great-grandchildren, Donte, Christian, Juliana, Jason and Nathan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday April 24, 2013 at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington where friends may call from 10 to 11 am. Interment will follow Mass at All Saints Cemetery.
