Elaine Rosenberg passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 18th after a short battle with cancer.
Elaine was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 29, 1928. She moved to Vineland, NJ in her early twenties and to Wilmington eight years later for the rest of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mae and Harry Lowenbraun, sister Ruth Batkin, and husband, soul mate, and best friend Jesse who died way too young. Elaine and Jesse had one of those few perfect marriages and as a matter of fact if you look up perfect marriage in the dictionary, you will probably see their picture.
Elaine is survived by Mike and his wife Sally of Claymont, Hank and his wife Win of Rehoboth Beach, and two granddaughters Jessica and Kathy whom she cherished with all of her heart.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Jewish Community Cemetery, 401 Foulk Road right off of 202 in Wilmington. Shiva will be held at Elaine's residence Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Congregation Beth Shalom, 1801 Baynard Blvd. Wilmington, DE 19802 or The
