Eleanor L. Walmsley, 85 of Warwick, MD. died February 28, 2014 in Chester River Manor, Chestertown, MD.

Mrs. Walmsley was born on February 2, 1929 in Warwick, daughter of the late Arthur J. and Anna Staedtler Lockerman. She was a Cecil County school bus driver for Lovie Powell for 20 years and was a Tupperware Consultant for many years. Eleanor was a lifetime resident of Warwick where she was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for 29 years. Mrs. Walmsley was active with the 4-H program in Cecil County. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and camping.

Along with her parents she was preceded by her sister, Margaret Morgan.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Thomas D. Walmsley; 2 children, T. David Walmsley (Shirley) of Swedesboro, NJ and Marilyn Figgs (Tom) of Milton, DE; 4 grandchildren, AJ Walmsley (Mary), Adrienne Derby (Chris), Janine Weisman (Matt) and Michele Davis (Wayne); 14 great-grandchildren, and a nephew Jack Morgan (Karen).

Friends may call on Friday, March 7 from 6 to 8pm in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD. Funeral service will be held on March 8 at 11am in Mt. Olivet U.M. Church, 131 Main St. Warwick, MD. Burial will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
