Grace D. Ventresca

Surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren, Grace Ventresca passed away peacefully at age 87 on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.

Although Grace worked as a secretary for many years for the family business, Ventresca Brothers, and for a short while for JA Montgomery Insurance Company, she devoted her entire life creating a supportive and wonderful home for her family. As Grace struggled over the last several years with lung disease, she was still determined to continue to share her life with those she loved.

Grace is survived by her daughter, Diane Dambach, son-in-law, Jeff and their son, Jeffrey; her son, Victor, his wife, JoAnna and his son, Tony (Gina); and her daughter, Gail Maida, her husband, Dominic, their children, Nick and Angie and their fiancees, Beth and Mike.

Born in Wilmington, Grace was predeceased at an early age by her mother, Bessie McCauley, and later by her father, Charles Lutz and his wife, Helen. She was also predeceased by her sister, Pearl Werkheiser (Dutch) and brother, Charles Lutz (Mildred).

Aunt Grace will be missed by nieces and nephews of both the Werkheiser and Lutz families. Grace will also be remembered as a special sister-in-law and beloved aunt by all the members of Ralph and Martha Ventresca's extended family.

Gracie was a kind, friendly and loving lady who will be forever missed by those whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Tuesday, December 4 from 11:30AM - 1:00PM. Funeral services will begin at 1:00PM. Interment will be held privately.
