James Campbell, age 80, of Newark, DE, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014.
Jim and his wife emigrated from Scotland and lived in Chicago, IL and Port Chester, NY prior to settling in Delaware. During his career, Jim worked as an engraver by trade and developed the "Campbell Kids" logo. Jim retired from Avon Products Company after working for 27 years as a Maintenance Mechanic. Jim enjoyed traveling, boating, fishing, and going to the horse races. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret; his son, Robert Campbell and his wife Jean; two daughters, Eleanor Ungemack and husband Curt and Margaret Ferm and husband John; his grandson, Robbie Campbell; his brothers, John & William of Australia; and his niece, Josephine Bain of Scotland.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Campbell and three sisters.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd, Newark, DE 19702 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. followed by a service at 7:00 p. m. Burial will be private.
