Jeanie O. Yung

Jeanie O. Yung

Jeanie O. Yung, age 75, of Wilmington, DE formerly of Greenwich, CT and Walnut Creek, CA, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012.

Jeanie graduated in 1957 from Mount Saint Joseph Academy, Philadelphia, PA and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1961 from Ursuline College in Louisville, Kentucky.

Her career in the world of finance spanned from 1976 to 2004, during which time she worked for Security National Bank and then United Commercial Bank, both in San Francisco, CA. Her most recent position was VP Investor Reporting Manager, Loan Servicing.

Jeanie was a very caring person. She received the greatest joy from looking after her grandchildren; taking them to play in the park, cooking for them, helping them with their schoolwork, and just plain having fun with them. When it came to her friends, whether close or far, she was attentive about staying in touch and learning about their lives. Her friends and family loved her humor, her laugh and her willingness to help everyone. Additionally, she enjoyed her daily workouts at the Greenwich Y with her close friends and attending daily Mass.

Jeanie is survived by her son Victor Yung of Sao Paulo, Brazil, her daughter-in-law Sun, and their children Jason and Tyler of Greenwich, CT, and her son John and his wife Betsy and their two children Matthew and Megan of Wilmington, DE. She is also survived by her sisters Jady and Julia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December, 20, 2012 at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville, DE 19807. Interment will follow the mass at St. Joseph's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, Inc., 3515 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810.
