Jennifer M. (Horenburger) Mauk

Jennie Mauk, born Jennifer Marie Horenburger, died at the age of 34 on February 27, 2014. She was lovingly surrounded by close family as she passed away peacefully at her parents' home in Chadds Ford, PA.

Jennie graduated from Archmere Academy in 1997 and the University of Delaware in 2001, where she was a sister of Lambda Kappa Beta and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She worked in Human Resources for PFPC, GCOM, and Comcast.

She had an infectious smile, a bubbly and feisty personality, and a caring demeanor that allowed her to touch many lives in the short time she was here. She was an eternal optimist and had an amazing talent for seeing the good in life. Through Jennie Mauk Photography, she was able to "capture life's little moments". She was always hoping for a better life for others and often volunteered her time to the DFRC, the 's , , and the Alzheimer's Walk.

Jennie will be dearly missed by her husband of 5 years, James Mauk; parents Richard and Chantal Horenburger of Chadds Ford; sister Theresa Eller and her family, Larry and Jack Eller of Landenberg, PA; Jim's grandmother Catherine Mauk; aunts, uncles, cousins, many, many friends, and two spoiled rotten beagles.

Friends may call at CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, on Wednesday, March 5 from 6-9 pm and Thursday, March 6 from 9-10 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, N. Union and Gilpin Ave., Wilmington. Interment will follow in St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery.
