John M. "Jack" O'Neill
Age 87, a resident of Pembrooke Health and Rehabilitation Residence of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully at Paoli Hospital on Tuesday, January 8, 2013.
Born in Prospect Park, PA, Jack was the son of the late John J. and Julia G. (Conway) O'Neill and brother of the late James J. O'Neill. Jack was a proud graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA. He worked in sales before his retirement. Jack was a dedicated 60 year member of the Men of Malvern and longtime member of the Knights of Columbus; he participated in charitable activities with the International Order of Alhambra and was a devoted driver for the Meals on Wheels Association of America program.
He is preceded in death by his former wife, Stella A. O'Neill and a son, Brian J. O'Neill. He is survived by his son Kevin J. and his wife Elizabeth of Glen Mills, PA; daughter Ann E. and her husband Christopher Hoffman of Wilmington; son John J. of Wilmington; daughter Mary H. (O'Neill) Kob and her husband Nicholas Kob of Houston, TX; son Michael P. of Las Vegas, NV.
He is the very proud grandfather of Maura J. O'Neill; Emmitt A. Kob and Hayden D. Kob and is a loving uncle to several nieces and their families, numerous cousins and many extended family members.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 12th at 11 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington where friends are invited to visitation after 10:30 am. Private interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
