Joseph Lauginiger

Joseph Lauginiger, Age 88 of Garnet Valley, PA died on July 13, 2013. Born to the late Harry and Blanche Solt Lauginiger in Linwood, PA, he resided most of his life in Bethel Township, PA. Joseph was employed as a welder by Sun Oil in Marcus Hook, PA for 34 years retiring in 1984. He was a lifelong member of Siloam United Methodist Church, a 65 year member of the Concord Masonic Lodge No. 625 F&AM, Brandywine American Legion 811, VFW Bethel Post 6835, Delaware Consistory, Nur Temple Shrine L.O.H. and the Del. County Shrine. Joseph also enjoyed hunting with his friends in upstate Pennsylvania and was a member of the Pennington Hunt Club. A veteran, he served in the Navy during WWII, stationed in the South Pacific on the U.S.S. Dixie. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Harry Lauginiger Jr. and sister, Doris Van Arsdale.
Survivors: Wife of over 70 years, Frances "Fran" Roberts Laugininger (1946), son, Joseph Lauginiger Jr. and wife Helen, sisters, Catherine Vernon and Jean Middleton, one step grandson, Greg Messner and wife Linda, 3 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Interment: Chester Bethel Cemetery, Wilmington DE.
