Judy M. Tomlan
Judy Mae Tomlan, age 65, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Christiana Hospital.
Mrs. Tomlan was born in Wadena, MN in 1947 to the late Raymond Frank and Mae Ethel (Anderson) Pickar. She graduated in 1967 from Vermillion State Junior College in Ely, MN.
She married Patrick F. Tomlan in 1969. They moved to Delaware and she volunteered as a Program Assistant with the Easter Seals Society in Wilmington until 1978.
Mrs. Tomlan was a private tutor assisting students with various learning disabilities from 1990 to 1995. She was then employed as an Office Manager with the Reading ASSIST Institute in Wilmington until 2009.
She enjoyed memorization of Scripture, tennis and cross country skiing. She was a Church Coordinator, Sunday school teacher and member of the Bell Choir at Concordia Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Tomlan is survived by her husband of 44 years, Patrick; sons Matthew (Tina) and Jeffrey, of Denver, CO and Nicholas (Marie), of Kennett Square, PA.; three grandchildren; and sisters Karin Hansen of IL and Diane Pastika of MN.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, February 18, 2013 at the Concordia Lutheran Church, 3003 Silverside Road where friends may call from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment will be private.
