Mae E. Whitby (Gavin)

Age 90, died February 22, 2013 at her home in Claymont, DE surrounded by her loving family.

Mae was born, raised and educated in Chester, residing there before moving to Claymont, DE 63 years ago. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Girl's High School in Moylan.

Mae was retired from Beneficial Savings & Loan Bank and was a longtime parishioner of Holy Rosary Church.

She was the daughter of the late John and Ellen Gavin.

SURVIVORS: Her loving husband of 63 years, Harry F. Whitby; Daughters, Karen W. Hacker (Joseph), Maribeth Collings, and Debbie Whitby-Norman (Steve); 9 loving grandchildren, Kari Hacker (Justin Brown), Kelly Hacker (Chris Kelly), Kate, Kim, and Kasey Hacker, Heather Stiebel (Jason), Ryan Beaston (Alyssa), Stephanie Norman McDonald (Jon), and Justin Norman and 5 great grandchildren, Addison and Audrey Kelly, Joshua Stiebel, and Lily and Ryder Beaston. VISITATION: Saturday from 10-10:45am at Holy Rosary Church 3200 Philadelphia Pike Claymont, DE 19703 Funeral Mass: Saturday at 11:00am at Holy Rosary Church. BURIAL: St. Joseph's on the Brandywine Cemetery, Greenville, DE. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Rosary Church.
