AGE: 59 • New Castle

Mary L. Arrington, age 59, of New Castle, DE, entered into eternal rest on Thursday March 27, 2014. She was born November 21, 1954 in Wilmington, DE to Joan L. Arrington and the late George W. Arrington.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, where she loved singing as cantor in the choir. She was also a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW General W. W. Atterbury Post 3420. Most of her career was spent in the pursuit to help others as a Visiting Nurse and as a Certified Nurse's Aid. Her strive to help others continues beyond life, with the ultimate donation of herself to the Humanity Gifts Registry. With the aid of Delaware Hospice, her struggle with cancer ended in the comforts of home, with the care of her loving spouse Frederick Stevens.

Mary is also survived by her daughter, Rose M. Vaneiken; son, John T. Wallace IV; daughter, Amelia L Woodie; grandsons: Mark Vaneiken, Brian Vaneiken, Charles Vaneiken, Dustin Woodie, John T. Wallace V; granddaughters: Haillie Marandola, Catherine Sangirardi, and Jasmine Wallace. She was preceded in death by her sister, Amelia Arrington and brother, Paul Arrington.
