Mary Sue Vaccarini, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Kentmere Rehabilitation and Health Care Center at the age of 83.

Mary Sue was born on May 17, 1930 to the late Fred Berge and Nellie Sayers. She had fought a long and courageous battle against multiple illnesses. She and her husband, Rudy, met at Riverview Roller Rink in Pennsville, NJ and went on to become champion roller skaters in several competitions. Mary had a deep devotion to her catholic faith and was a Eucharistic Minister for Our Lady of Fatima Church. She was also involved in the R.C.I.A program at Fatima, teaching many people about the catholic faith.

The greatest love of Mary's life was her children and grandchildren. She always had time to enjoy the many years she spent helping them. She was an excellent cook and homemaker . She worked for Chrysler and then 13 years at General Motors.

In addition to her husband of 63 years, Rudy, Mary is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Dorrell (John) and Mary Lynn Kelso (Kevin); sons, Anthony Mark ( Terri) and Jule (Carol); six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Berge(Pat) and Norman Berge (Shawna); and one sister, Lynn Berge (Terrie).

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Paul Sayers; and brother, Frederick (Buddy) Berge.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713, followed by a service at 10:30 AM.
