Nola Maudine Blye

Nola C. Blye, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at The University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She was 67, just a month shy of her next birthday.

Blye resided in Wilmington, De. She had retired from Cheney State University in Philadelphia after 32 years where she served as Dean of Mathematics and Acting Provost. She also had a home in Milsboro near Rehoboth beach.

A woman of many accomplishments and interests, she served on the board on Wilmington Friends School and was District Governor for Toastmasters International.

She is survived by her daughter, Toinette (Toni) Blye, of Wilmington; a sister, Rita M. Wyatt of Vicksburg; beloved Chihuahua Teddy and countless family and friends.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Feb 8th at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, in her hometown Vicksburg, MS. A local memorial will also be held at a later date, details to be listed and memorials can be placed on a Facebook page facebook.com/nolablyememoriam. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any of her favorite charities in her memory.
