Ralph J. Cahall, Jr.

Ralph J. Cahall, Jr. of Greenwood, Delaware died Friday, November 30, 2012 in Milford Bay Health Medical Center, after a short illness. He was 91.

Mr. Cahall was born in suburban Philadelphia, PA in June 1921, son of Ralph J. Cahall, Sr. and Florence Hewitt Cahall. He attended Upper Darby High School in Philadelphia and Davidson College in North Carolina. In 1946, after the war, he attended Temple University in Philadelphia.

During World War II, he was in the Army Air Corps and served from 1942 to 1946. Prior to moving to Delaware in 1958, he worked for the Budd MFG Co, in quality control in Philadelphia. In Delaware, he had a Life Insurance Debit business. He raised boiler chickens until retiring in 1996.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Barbarika Cahall, daughter by previous marriage Karen DeRose, sister Dorothy Cahall Plank and brother Charles L. Cahall.

He is survived by a son Ralph (Jay) Cahall, III and wife Lois Kramer-Cahall; a daughter Robin Cahall and a son Kenneth Cahall by a previous marriage.

Mr. Cahall requested that his body be donated to the University Of Delaware's Anatomical Gift Program. A committal service at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Delaware will be held privately at a later date.
