Raymond D. Armstrong Jr., 56, of Wilmington, DE passed away March 7, 2013.
Raymond was a graduate of Claymont High School and Goldey Beacom College. He worked for the DuPont Company for about 10 years. Raymond trained to be a professional wrestler before moving to California where he became an actor and stuntman for Hollywood movies. He was in Under the Rainbow and was an Ewok in Star Wars, Return of the Jedi. Raymond went to the 1988 Special Olympics
in Seoul, Korea, placing second and earning the silver medal in power lifting. He was a member of the Little People of America.
Raymond was preceded in death by his mother, Cora F. Armstrong and his nephew Thomas J. Armstrong. He is survived by his father: Raymond D. Armstrong Sr. of Claymont; his sister: Debra R. Bailey of Warwick, MD; his two brothers: Jeffrey A. Armstrong of Newark and Timothy J. Armstrong of Wilmington; and eight nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 7 pm Wednesday evening, March 13, at the United Methodist Church of the Atonement, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 pm.
