Raymond R. "Chick" Bullen Sr.(1931 - 2012)

Surrounded by his wife and family, Chick peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.

Chick was born in Wilmington on June 10, 1931, son of the late George H. and Lillian (Burke) Bullen. He was a graduate of Henry C. Conrad High School, class of 1950, where he excelled in football. His love of football led to ten years as coach for the Stanton Clippers football team, and also as a member of the Conrad Alumni semi-pro football team. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Chick proudly served as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. Following his military service, he was employed with Motor Wheel for 24 years before establishing his own business, Bullen's Bucktails. He loved fishing and was actively working in his business serving the bait and tackle stores along the Eastern Shore. In addition to fishing, Chick enjoyed watching football and creating bucktails. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and life-long buddies.

Chick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Barbara A. (Fritz) Bullen; his sons, Raymond, Jr. and wife, Lori and Jimbo and wife, Mary; and his grandchildren, Raymond, Kristie, Mark and Carrie.
