Robert Linn Cooke of Dover passed away Thursday May 8, 2014, at Kent General Hospital. He was 62.

Bob was born June 3, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Harry Linn Cooke, Jr., and Margaret Grace Henning Cooke.

He was the manager of the Howard Johnson restaurant in Dover until the late 1970s. Bob worked in the liquor sales industry from 1981 to 1990 and then started his own company, Robert Cooke Painting. Bob enjoyed fishing, sailing, and just being around water. He also enjoyed growing his roses. He was a longstanding member of the Dover community for over 40 years and his commitment and dedication to the community will be missed.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, and brother. He was happiest when spending time with his family. He was often seen supporting his son Harry's many academic and athletic endeavors.

Bob is survived by his wife of 12 years, Mary Lillian Sutherland Cooke of Dover; son, Harry Livingston Cooke at home; sisters, Sally Cooke Barnett and her husband Marty of Gaithersburg, Maryland; Trish Cooke Kubico and her former husband Steve of Dover; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Kevin, Michael, and Megan Barnett, and Stephanie and Sam Kubico.

Memorial services will be held 1PM, Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call from 11-1.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to , Delaware, 200 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
