AGE: 84 • Newark

Passed away on February 14, 2014 from cardiac arrest at Wilmington Hospital surrounded by her family.

Ruth was born in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Mary (Miller) and John Stritzinger. She worked as a secretary in the Agriculture Department of the University of Delaware for eleven years. She enjoyed being a homemaker, working in the garden and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an active member of the St. Francis Hospital Junior Board and the Junior Board of the Southern Chester County Hospital. Ruth served as a guide at Winterthur Museum and belonged to the Newark and Wilmington Country Clubs. She was also a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clyde H. Baylis, Jr. in 1983 and her brother, Jack Stritzinger.

Ruth is survived by her son and his wife, M.Scott and Donna K. Baylis; her grandchildren, Brittany and Kyle and her brother, James Stritzinger and his wife, Marilyn of the Villages, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February, 21st at 11 AM at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 2509 Limestone Road, where friends may call after 10 AM. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to
