Webster David, age 85 of Magnolia, AR formerly of Wilmington, Delaware passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Magnolia Health and Rehab. He was born December 17, 1927 in New York, NY to William Webster and Margaret (McGay) David.
Webster served in the US Navy
in the Pacific Theatre after returning he then enlisted in the US Army. After leaving the US Army he enrolled in Cornell University, Ithaca, NY and graduated in 1954 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He later earned his P.E. He was a member of DelEASI, (DAPE) Delaware Association of Professional Engineers, (ASME) American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He was Senior Project Manager for Hercules, Inc. for 21 years. He was also a volunteer for Hagley Museum as a machine shop operator. Webster moved to Magnolia, AR in 2011 to be with his daughter, Ann and her husband.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wilma P. David of 44yrs. whom passed away in September 2005.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Ann (David) Nelson and husband, David of El Dorado, AR; his son, William David and wife, Mary of Malvern, PA; grandson, William David of Malvern, PA; brother, J. Worth David and wife, Nina Glickson of New Haven, CT.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 4 from 6-8PM at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy. (Route 2 East @ Duncan Rd.).
A memorial service will be held at 11:30AM, Thursday December 5, 2013 at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, followed by interment at Silverbrook Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.mccreryand harra.com
