Noxah Palomo Obituary

Noxah M. Palomo, 13 of New Castle, DE, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 9, 2010.
Noxah was an 8th grade student at McCullough Middle School and attended his classes at the A.I. duPont Hospital for Children, where he was taught by Miss Alycia. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed playing baseball with the Babe Ruth Little League as a member of the Police & Fire Warriors, was a member of the McCullough wrestling and soccer teams and enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, disc golfing and go carting. Noxah also loved playing his X-Box, paint ball and any shooting sports. He was the proud founder of NRN (Noxah's Registered Nurses) at the A.I. duPont Hospital, and a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, the Skin Crew and the Creative Imaj Car Club in Reading, PA. Noxah was a B Positive (B+) Hero who remained strong and brave throughout his illness. One of his greatest desires was to sky dive, and through the generosity of Free Fall Adventures in Williamstown, NJ, Noxah was able to have his dream fulfilled by becoming one of the youngest people in the country to participate in a sky dive. The Mason Schaffer Foundation provided the catering to make the special day complete.
Noxah touched a multitude of people, many of whom never had the honor of meeting him personally. He was an inspiration to his family and many friends, and he will always be lovingly remembered.
Noxah will be dearly missed by his parents, Joe and Peggy (Berrier) Palomo; his brothers, Jauxnas, Nicxolas and Alexander; his sister, Angelixca; his grandparents; Bob and Eileen Siter and Jose R. Palomo; his aunts and uncles, Aunt Mimi and Uncle Joe McFarland, Aunt E.J. and Uncle Johnny Arguelles, Aunt and Godmother RoRo Rambo and Uncle John, Aunt Gerry and Uncle Michael Barbato, Uncle Bobby and Aunt Michelle Judge, Uncle Frankie Judge, Aunt Peggy and Uncle John Richardson and Uncle Gary; his devoted cousins, Jessica, "G", Robert, Gabby, Ant, Jada, Heather and P.J., Seanie, Mason, John-John, Sammy, Mandy and Sean, Sutton, Hayden, Kelli, Mike, Jessie, Lauren and Leslie, Natalie, Chandler, Jordan and Vanessa; and the members of the Palomo and Garcia families. Noxah also leaves his very good friend, Sammy Bradly. The two of them made up "The Dynamic Duo of A.I. duPont Hospital".
He was predeceased by his brother, Elijaxh; his grandmother, Dee Palomo; and his great grandmoms, Nanny G. and Grandma Garcia.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the A.I. duPont Hospital, especially Dr. Andy Kolb, for their love, support and care during Noxah's battle with leukemia. Also thanks to Noxah's many friends who are now members of "The Palomo Tribe". In addition, the family would like to thank the many priests, Sr. Katie and Deacon Mike who ministered to Noxah in so many ways.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington on Thursday, October 14, at 10 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Wednesday, October 13 from 4-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Noxah to the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, 101 Rockland Circle, Wilm., DE 19803 (www.bepositive.org).

So for the past week or 2 I've been working on the mini bike I have in my garage.I know i wanted to repaint it and could figure out what color to paint it. It took me about 2 days to hit me, but i went right awaya and started to paint the frame and then the body. I really had no clue on what I was doing until i realized what colors i was using and then it really hit me........you Noxah are here in my garage with me telling mee remember my favorite colors are red, orange and green.. I knew it right away that when I'm done rebuilding the bike that it's gonna look good, cause you are here with me building it with me. Always here in spirit talking to us from the other side.......you'll always be here in my heart and my prayers.

Yours truely,

I prayed for him every day and I continue to do so....He is now free of pain and worry and I know that he is watching out for all of you. He helped my cousin Annie and her son Sammy get through a terrible time and I will always be thankful for that. God Bless the Paloma Tribe.

At 43 years old I have learned more in the last year that I have known Noxah and your family than in my entire life. He taught me strength, courage and how to face each day with a smile. October 29, 2010

We lived across the street from you all forever. I remember all the times we would play baseball in the front yard and Noxah would always tell us we weren't doing it right, and how Angel always told me he "had a crush on me." Even if he really didn't. He was always the sweetest little boy and brought a smile to everyone's face. Noxah will truly be missed by all of us and his memories will live on forever.

October 29, 2010

My heart goes out to all family and close friends that had the opportunity to meet,Noxah. I saw him at The Old Country Buffet, over the summer. I was about to introduce myself and tell him that is such an inpiration, and admiration to know him. I didn't do that;thinking we would let the boy enjoy his time with his friends.I wish that I had introduced myself to Noxah, when I had the opportunity.
Even though I didn't know him personally,Noxah will always bring me warm thoughts. To the Palomo family: You have done an outstanding job!!
Thank-you.

I didn't know Noxah, but many of my friends did, so I've had the chance to read facebook messages and also this wonderful article in the Newspaper about him. He seemed like such a wonderful young man and it's a shame that he had to go through what he had to, but everyone said he was strong and kept fighting. That's a lesson for everyone, if you want something, fight for it. Do NOT give up. He's in no pain now and he's not suffering. Every time it rains, you best believe he is shedding tears on his loved ones.

This little man is a role model for many people and I could proudly say that I could be a follower of him.

I give both Noxah and his family/friends prayers. Just know that he is at ease now and will always be apart of your hearts!

To the entire Palomo Tribe
I cant put into words how gracious I am for getting a chance to have you in my life. I am a thirty year man that has learned more from Noxah than anyone else in my life. He reminds me that the only thing that really matters in life is the relationships that we build. Noxah, you have taught me to be a better person. A better friend. A better father. And most importantly a better man. You have shown me the true meaning of strength and love. And I will take that with me forever. Your infectious smile will always remain in my heart forever. I never got a chance to say it, but Thank you Noxah. Thank you for changing my life. Thank you for your smile. Thank you for you! I love you. Forever and always!

October 13, 2010

Dear Peggy and Joe,
Noxah was so brave and offered up so much to Our Lord. I'm sure he is surrounded by the love of God with that beautiful smile on his face. I have fond memories of the one time Don and I babysat for your children and what a happy, active bunch they were. We were so excited to help, but a little tired afterwards! I give you credit for raising such a beautiful family in faith and love. You are an inspiration to all young couples. May God bless you and your family always and may Our Lady keep her arms around you.
Love and prayers, Linda Prince

P.S. Brian sends his love and prayers, also. He and Danielle have been praying for Noxah and your family all year. We love you. God bless.

"I prayed for this child, and the Lord had granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord" (vv.27-28 NIV)

When a child leaves us on Earth, pain lingers with us, but not with the child. Noxah is exactly where he's supposed to be; in the arms of God. Well done is what God said to him when he went back home. May his Mom & Dad, sister and brothers & entire family eventually find the peace Noxah now enjoys. Peace be with you.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Noxah,
I never personally met you, but I've known you through my school, Aquinas, and my grandmother, Vicki, who works as a nurse at Dupont and had given me updates on your condition ever since you first went to the hospital. I've been praying for you and your family nonstop, and I continue to pray for you and your family. Your journey has given me courage and hope. I'll never forget you, and you and your family will always be in my prayers. Rest In Peace, Noxah.
Much Love,
Brandi
