Age 84, of Avondale, PA, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012, at the Jennersville Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Ruth Faulkner Crossan, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, PA, he was the son of the late David B. and Catherine Lucas Crossan. Mr. Crossan was a Machinist at the NVF Co. in Yorklyn, DE, for 50 years, retiring in 1992. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Hockessin, DE, the American Legion in Kennett Square, PA, and the United Paper Workers Union. Mr. Crossan enjoyed collecting Hess trucks, camping, going to the beach and being with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Howard Crossan and his wife, Kathleen of Princess Anne, MD; two daughters, Donna Harman and Linda Creighton, both of Landenberg, PA; two brothers, James Crossan and Charles Crossan, Sr, both of Landenberg, PA; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Bryan, Nicoletta, Greg, Gio, Michael and Colins; six great-grandchildren and a favorite niece, Tammy Matheson.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 on Thursday evening, December 20, 2012 at the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Road, West Grove, PA and again from 10:00 to 11:00 on Friday morning, December 21, 2012 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7200 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE. His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 Friday morning, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square, PA.

In memory of Mr. Crossan, a contribution may be made to the Landenberg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 36, Landenberg, PA 19350.
