Clyde "Austin" Beavers, age 68, of Newark, Delaware passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2013 surrounded by family and friends.

Austin was one of thirteen children, born in West Virginia to the late Roan and Annie Mae Beavers. The family later moved to Fair Hill,Maryland. Austin served more than ten years in the U.S. Army and completed two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a hard worker throughout his lifetime and retired from MBNA in 2005.

Austin was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and taking care of birds and wildlife. He also spent many years traveling with his family to visit natural landmarks and go camping and fishing. Since retiring he's enjoyed spending time with his "old buddies" in the morning coffee club and taking care of his garden.

In addition to his parents, Austin is predeceased by his brothers; Bill, Joe, Jack, Russell, Jerry and Jim, his sister Faye Puffenberger.

Austin is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joanne Ternoski Beavers; his son Scott; daughter-in-law Bridget ; grandson Ethan; brothers Roger and James; sisters Slyvia Rothenbacher, Geraldine Wyatt, Susan Beavers and countless nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:30 AM at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Hwy. Newark, DE. Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing beginning at 10:30AM. Interment will follow the service at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder and Ambulance Company, P.O. Box 148, Newark, DE 19715-0148.
