Diane M. Lawler

Wilmington

Diane M. Lawler passed away on July 15, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Diane was a longtime Wilmington resident. She was a member of the first graduating class of Concord High School and attended North Carolyn Wesleyan University. An accomplished musician, Diane performed for over three decades at many theater companies and live events, including Candlelight Music Theater, Delaware Children's Theatre, and the annual Gridiron Dinner; she also played bass guitar with several rock-n-roll bands. She held positions with Eastern National Monument Association, Bosik Monograms, most recently, Delaware Medical Management Services.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Lawler and her nephew, Michael Lawler. She is survived by her mother, Barbara Lawler; her siblings, Mickey, his wife Maryann and their son Aaron; Joyce, her husband Tuck Edelstein and their son Miles; and Mark, and his wife Gail; and by a loving extended family and many friends. She'll be remembered by all for her generous and playful spirit, and her deep love for children and animals.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11:30 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
