AGE: 61 • Wilmington

Edward A. Garbowski, Jr., 61 of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away at home with his wife at his side on Tuesday, December 31, 2013.

Eddie was born in Wilmington on November 27, 1952, son of the late Edward and Bessie (Veazey) Garbowski. A 1971 graduate of Brandywine High School, he, along with his business partner Bob Balick, co-owned ABC Window Cleaning Service.

Eddie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Carol "Pickles" Petrucci Garbowski; his sister, Renee Ross and her husband, Wally; his nieces and nephews, Shannon Ross, Ian Ross and wife, Danielle, Kristin Brodman and husband, Larry, John Scholato, Luke Scholato and wife, Nancy and Nina Osborne; several great nieces and nephews; his two "faithful friends", Katrina and Ringo; and many extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Eddie was predeceased by his sister, Carolyn Garbowski Scholato.

Carol would like to thank Dr. Beardell and nurse, Susan Mulvihill, the staff of Delaware Clinical, Dr. Helena Schroyer, the 6th floor nurses at Christiana Hospital, Christiana Care Visiting Nurses, the staff of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the staff and members of the Multiple Myeloma Support Group and Vitas Hospice for the care, comfort and support given to Eddie.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, January 10 from 5:30-7:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth's Church, Cedar and S. Clayton Streets, Wilmington on Saturday, January 11 at 10:30AM. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eddie may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, (for Multiple Myeloma Research) 100 W. 10th Street, Suite 209, Wilmington, DE 19801 (www.lls.org) or Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801 (www.dehumane.org).
